Get rid of Wasps and Bees

Removing wasps, wasp nests, and bee swarms can be difficult, dangerous, or complicated. There are various approaches you can take, from over the counter remedies to professional pest control.

One Treatment Doesn't Fit All

If you have a bee problem, the best approach is to contact a local beekeeper to relocate them. This protects an important part of the ecological system while avoiding you having to deal with having them on your property.

Wasps are less simple to deal with; different treatments are available and different approaches will be more effective than others depending on circumstances.

Protection

Due to the dangerous nature of dealing with wasp nests, we always advise you seek professional assistance to protect yourself from an insect that can get extremely aggressive.

It is imperative to wear protective clothing when dealing with wasp nests, to provide some barrier between you and the wasp stings.

Products

There are various products on the market for people who wish to try and tackle DIY wasp removal, including sprays, powders, and foams. We would advise against using these over-the-counter solutions for a number of reasons. While they may be suitable for very small nests, they have some serious drawbacks too.

Firstly, they’re less effective than professional-grade insecticides that you need to be a qualified pest control professional to use. This means they may not work at all, or they may only kill a proportion of your wasps.

Beyond that, DIY products require you to get up close and personal with the wasp nest to apply them. This puts you at risk of triggering an aggressive reaction from the wasps.

Professional treatment

Destroying a wasp nest uses a powerful insecticidal powder, applied to completely cover the nest.

After the treatment, wasps may continue to fly around the nest area because some of them will have been out foraging. For this reason, it is best to leave a treated nest in situ so they will be killed with the remaining chemical and not try to rebuild.

Just want to thank you JPS for the prompt service and professional attitude you showed when recently you undertook the task of thoroughly cleaning and controlling the infestation of cockroaches at my mother's property.
You made what seemed like an impossible task seem easy.

Tony, Plaistow

Just wanted to say a big 'Thank You' for the great job you did for us in removing the wasp nest from our garden which was causing us a lot of stress. Everything is perfect now. No wasps to be seen. Would highly recommend you.

Lisa and Tony, Romford, Essex

We are a mansion block based in Central London for some time had an ongoing issue with roosting pigeons. We asked JPS for their advice and help. Various options were discussed with the merits for all explained and we eventually opted for bird netting with various gates to give us access on our fire escapes. It has worked a treat and solved our problems 100%. We found their team to be professional and courteous and we would highly recommend them.
